Blue Ternate Tea comes from Clitoria Ternatea and is commonly called blue pea, butterfly pea, Asian pigeonwings, and bluebellvine.
It originated from the Island of Ternate in Indonesia from where its name was derived.
As plantitas are looking for what are their next plant collection, I was looking for any other plant that can help me to save money during this pandemic. As usual, I’m into more healthy and natural food. So, instead of buying instant coffee, I prefer some herbal teas. And one of the plants that caught my attention is the blue ternate tea because of its unique color.
Butterfly pea tea or blue ternate tea is packed with anti-oxidants properties that are best to fight cancer. This caffeine-free blue herbal concoction is made by seeping dried or fresh flowers and leaves. It is rich in antioxidants and proven to have medicinal properties like alkaloids, tannins, saponins, anthocyanins, and methanol extract.

What’s my take?
Aside from a warning for pregnant use, I don’t see any problem taking the blue tea.
As a cancer patient, I’m more on caffeine-free drinks and blue ternate tea is one of them. Aside from its beautiful color, the possibility to mix it in making healthy drinks is unlimited.
On the other hand, this tea shows potential to invade the marketplace as one of the in-demand tea in the next generation. So grab your pots, and plant this amazing plant, take the opportunity to have your blue ternate tea in your garden.

Where does one buy ternate tea? I tried some natural teas from a local seller. One had flowers but I don’t remember them to be blue. I think it was more purple?
I’ve been drinking this tea for months now. It’s been one of my favorites. You should try rose tea as well. Hahaha

I can attest that Blue Ternate Tea is highly effective. For someone who is always stressed at work, I should look about twice my age already or even complain about pains/aches or getting sick easily – thankfully I don’t. I’ve been told that I have this “glow.”

I wouldn’t know a thing about blue ternate tea if it’s not for my brother na sobrang hilig sa tea. Sa dinami dami nyang pina try sakin, eto yung isa sa mga super nagustuhan ko since it has a lot of benefits talaga. Iniinom ko to usually after workout.
